Silverton Colorado OHV routes are strictly enforced by the San Juan Sheriff’s Department. With Spring in the air we thought it would be a good time to post a map of Silverton Colorado OHV Routes.
It is permissible to drive on Greene Street where the Golden Block Brewery and Restaurant in Silverton is located but some of our side streets are restricted. Please check out this map of Silverton’s OHV rules and drive responsibly.
The routes in town are clearly marked with signs reading “OHV ROUTES” and directional arrows. Please follow this link to the State of Colorado’s Model Traffic Codes for a complete list and explanation of the laws. These routes include the business district, all camping & RV parks, and all hotels & motels. Most home vacation rentals are NOT located on the route. Please click here for a printable map.
All drivers must have a valid drivers license and current liability insurance and must obey the Colorado Model Traffic Code as if driving a normal vehicle. Fines will be strictly enforced. Please respect our community, citizens and quiet neighborhoods. STAY ON THE ROUTE AND OBEY THE LAWS!
The town of Silverton welcomes Off Highway Vehicles and has an amazing amount of high altitude trails to explore. This makes us one of the premier destinations in the western States for OHVs. Please respect Silverton Colorado OHV routes so we can assure that our access is guaranteed for years to come.
We would also like to thank our Sheriff’s department for enforcing the Silverton OHV routes. This is a tireless job that takes a lot more of their time than it should. If everyone shares this map of the Silverton OHV routes for 2016 we can all help make their jobs a bit easier this summer.
