Some genius came up with the idea of listing beer styles in a periodic table. This allows us to compare different styles based on several factors including the beer’s ‘gravity’ (meaning how heavy it is), the ABV (alcohol by volume), IBU (international bitterness units), and the beer’s color (or srm). By comparing every style known to man against their nearest matches we can start to lay them out in order from lightest to heaviest and so on.
As we start rolling out more beers this should come in handy as a neat little reference guide to help you understand exactly what we have on tap and how it might compare to some of your favorite beer styles.
